Ernest Hemingway letter to Peter Viertel [manuscript], [1954?] August 21.

Hemingway discussess an upcomng fishing trip; writing progress; and the "comic aspects" of screen adaptations, particularly in reference to Gregory Peck in "The purple plain." He sends thanks for mocassins and mentions a postal strike and other interferences in his life including people "louseing up the time should be re-charging the batteries...." Mentions Hans F. Koenekamp, Don Page, George Brown who is coming down to get him in shape, and Bob Parrish.
